# Monarch Defender > Monarch Defender is a US-based builder of bespoke, ground-up custom classic Land Rover Defenders (90, 110, 130, and 6x6). Every vehicle is a single-owner commission built from a new chassis with a modern GM LS3 or LT1 V8 (430-460 hp, with a supercharged LT4 upgrade at 650 hp) over a 6-12 month, multi-stage process. Monarch builds new vehicles from its own donors and does not restore client-supplied cars (trade-in credit accepted). Facility in Grayslake, IL; worldwide white-glove delivery. Builds typically range from $250,000 to $350,000+ and carry a two-year bumper-to-bumper warranty (first year fully covered, second year the owner covers only shipping), with GM's factory warranty on the crate engine on top. ## Builds & inventory -
