The short answer

A Defender pickup pairs the classic Defender cab with an open cargo bed. Monarch builds pickups from the ground up in D110 and extended XL configurations at its facility in Grayslake, Illinois, each with a new chassis, GM LS3 or LT1 V8 power, and a fully bespoke interior.

The Monarch Standard

The Working Defender, Elevated

The pickup is the Defender at its most purposeful: a classic cab, an open bed, and the stance that made the original a working legend. It is the body style for owners who actually use their truck.

Monarch builds the pickup in two configurations, the D110 pickup and the extended Pickup XL, each ground-up on a new chassis with GM LS3 or LT1 V8 power and a bespoke cabin that has nothing in common with a work truck.

Frequently Asked Questions

What pickup configurations does Monarch build?

Two: the classic D110 pickup with a two-door cab and full bed, and the extended Pickup XL crew cab with four doors and seating for the family. Both are specified during the design phase.

Can a Defender pickup still be luxurious?

Yes. The bed is for gear; the cabin is a Monarch. Hand-stitched leather, modern climate control, and integrated technology are specified the same way as on every other build.

How much does a custom Defender pickup cost?

Pricing depends on specification. Complete Monarch builds range from $250,000 to $350,000 and up, and every quote includes the donor, parts, labor, design process, delivery, and warranty.
