Do you swap a V8 into my existing Defender?
No. Monarch builds complete V8 Defenders from the ground up using our own donor, rather than swapping an engine into a customer-supplied vehicle. A current Defender can be applied as trade-in credit toward a new build.
Which V8 engines do you use?
We use the GM LS3 (around 430 horsepower) and the GM LT1 (around 460 horsepower), with an LT4 supercharged option (around 650 horsepower).
Can I bring my own Defender for restoration?
At Monarch, we don't perform traditional restorations on client-supplied vehicles. We build every masterpiece from the ground up, starting with a new KTL-coated chassis and all-new components. However, we may accept your current Defender as a trade-in credit towards a new Monarch build. Please contact our team to discuss your vehicle.
How much does a Land Rover Defender V8 Swap cost?
Pricing for our bespoke builds varies based on specifications. Typically, our complete builds range from $250,000 to $350,000+, which includes everything from the donor title to the final nut and bolt.
