What determines the timeline?
Four factors set most of the schedule. Knowing them makes any builder's estimate easy to sanity-check.
- Donor sourcing: Monarch builds from its own donors, so sourcing and inspection can run before your build slot opens. Builders who wait on a customer-supplied vehicle can lose time here.
- Specification complexity: a one-off interior, unusual colors, or custom accessories add design and fabrication time.
- Paint and interior: multi-layer paint and hand-finished trim are the most labor-intensive stages and cannot be compressed without hurting quality.

What do the milestones look like?
Monarch builds run through 12 defined stages: donor selection, a new KTL-coated chassis, body and panel work, paint, insulation, electronics, interior, accessories, powertrain, connected tech, testing, and delivery. Payments are structured as a deposit that secures the build slot, followed by milestone progress payments as the stages complete, so payment tracks work actually done.
Build documentation follows the same rhythm. You can see the vehicle move through chassis, paint, interior, and powertrain rather than waiting on a single delivery date months away.
How does delivery work, in the US and internationally?
Domestic US deliveries are white-glove and handled by Monarch. International buyers are supported with worldwide shipping, including logistics and customs documentation.
International shipping adds transit and paperwork time on top of the build itself, so overseas buyers should plan for that when scheduling around the 6 to 12 month build window.
Can I skip the wait?
Yes. Monarch's inventory lists completed and upcoming vehicles that can be purchased without commissioning from scratch. An available vehicle carries a fixed specification rather than a bespoke one, but it removes the build wait entirely.
